Alpha Precision Systems achieves 22.2% PCE using Sofab Inks' ETL

Alpha Precision Systems has achieved an impressive 22.2% power conversion efficiency on a large 30 × 30 cm perovskite solar panel using Sofab Inks' TinFab ETL, in a completely fullerene-free PIN architecture.

This is one of the highest and largest-format fullerene-free perovskite modules reported to date, underscoring both the scalability and performance potential of inorganic ETLs such as TinFab for next-generation solar module manufacturing.

TinFab, developed by Sofab, is a tin-oxide nanoparticle ink designed for stability, efficiency, and processability. In this collaboration, APS utilized their precision slot-die coating equipment to demonstrate TinFab’s capabilities in real-world, scalable manufacturing environments. This partnership showcases that perovskite solar technology can be both efficient and manufacturable at commercial scale, setting a new benchmark for durable, fullerene-free solar cell architectures.

Alpha Precision Systems is a slot die coating technology, custom slot dies, and turnkey solutions provider.
